About

Meghan comes to Mason with more than 18 years of experience in financial, operational, and strategic leadership, including more than 10 years in higher education. She most recently worked at Baker Tilly, an international accounting and advisory firm, where she consulted for many top public and private higher education institutions in a variety of areas including financial operations, research, compliance, and risk management, among others. Before Baker Tilly, Meghan was a vital member of the administration at MIT as a senior financial leader in the School of Science and ultimately as the Institute’s first enterprise risk management leader. During her time at MIT, Meghan spearheaded Institute-wide initiatives to improve financial management, forecasting and reporting, as well as oversight of research administration and compliance. Of note, she was the chief designer and led the implementation of the Institute’s comprehensive risk management system. In this role, she collaborated widely across the Institute, serving on various committees and councils, facilitating discussions to identify and assess risks and develop appropriate risk mitigation strategies. In addition to higher education, Meghan has worked in the nonprofit, government, and healthcare fields.

Meghan earned her bachelor’s degree in finance and economics from Boston College, an MBA from Georgetown University, and an executive certificate in strategy and innovation from the MIT Sloan School of Management. She is passionate about fostering an inclusive work and education environment and advancing scientific research.
