About
I direct high-quality, mentored research programs and courses for undergraduates and high school students including the Aspiring Scientists’ Summer Internship Program (ASSIP), and ASSIP research short courses. I direct the Galileo’s Science Cafe Series that features Mason’s amazing researchers in an accessible setting for the community. I mentor, advise, and support high school STEM students and their teachers through dual-enrolled Mason Independent Science Research Courses. I collaborate with faculty on grants to support undergraduate and graduate student researchers, in the laboratory to develop diagnostic tests, and to publish best practices in STEM research education.
Teaching Focus
- Chemistry 101, 102, 103, 104 (Introduction to chemistry for non-majors).
- College of Science-120 (dual-enrolled research course)
- Mentor undergraduate researchers.
